I bought my first Striking Viking comb about 7 years ago and used it almost daily until I lost it while traveling. During that time I gave a few of them as gifts to friends and praised the brand to anyone who would listen. Of course, I determined to buy the same item to replace my lost comb.
There have been some very obvious cost cutting measures in the intervening years and the quality of the comb (and "leather" case) is now garbage. The new comb is rough and sharp and feels overall very low quality. The case is awful.
The durability is gone completely. My new comb snapped in half within two months of use.
In short, stay away from this product. This is a company that built a reputation on a high quality product that they no longer make.
